ASPIRE Foundation Day Celebrations
7th March 2023, 11:30 AM onwards
Association for Scientific Pursuits in Innovative Research Enterprises (ASPIRE), is a Not-for-Profit Section 8 Company founded by the University of Hyderabad in 2018 to foster an entrepreneurial ecosystem on the campus. ASPIRE provides an enabling resource platform for budding entrepreneurs in diverse areas of science and technology. Currently, three incubation centers (ICs) are functioning under ASPIRE, i.e., ASPIRE-BioNEST, ASPIRE-TBI, and ASPIRE TIDE, providing incubation support in the areas of Life Sciences, Pharma & Chemistry, Materials, and IT & Electronics. It is the largest incubation ecosystem for sciences in Hyderabad. ASPIRE supported over 85 start-ups to translate their ideas into technologies. ASPIRE is celebrating its 5th Foundation day.

Stem Cell Therapy –The Future of Medicine?

Talk by – SAIRAM L. ATLURI, MD, FIPP
Dr. Sairam Atluri is a pioneer of stem cell therapy in the US. He published the first ever controlled trial using stem cells to treat severe low back pain. Also has written highly cited, review articles regarding treating Covid-19 with stem cells. Dr. Atluri is the Co-Editor of the largest textbook regarding Regenerative Medicine in Pain Management. He was also part of the team which wrote guidelines for the treatment of low back pain with stem cells. He is a regular speaker at the annual meetings of ASIPP, TOBI, and IOF which are the premier stem cell organizations in the US.

EMBO Lecture Course
August 10th, 2022
Centre for Predictive Human Model Systems at Atal Incubation Centre – CCMB Hyderabad has received a grant from EMBO to conduct an India | EMBO Lecture Course titled, “Micro physiological Systems: Advances and Applications in human-relevant research” from 31st Oct-4th Nov 2022 (physical meeting). This Lecture Course is targeted at Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers, faculty, teachers, physician-researchers, and industry personnel who are interested to know about organoids and organs-on-chip models and want to employ these systems in their area of research.

Participation of TEAMS is encouraged over individuals, shortlisted applicants will be called for a pitch deck to the expert committee.

IDEA TO PROTECT TO PRODUCT

Voyagerx a top utility app startup in Korea is visiting the UoH campus to interact with the students as part of the Campus Engagement Program. The students also get an opportunity to become paid interns, and student ambassadors to the company as the Voyagerx (vFlat) team has focused on the Indian market and evaluating setting up a team/office in India.
The event is on 27th July from 3 PM onwards at Seminar hall, School of Life Sciences, University of Hyderabad

SINE IITB is one of the BIG Partners for executing and monitoring the BIG Scheme across all biotech domains.



BIRAC’s 10th Anniversary Celebrations

ASPIRE-BioNEST Participated in Biotech start-up expo-2022 which is part of 10 Years celebration of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) held at Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi. It was an honour to attend this power-packed event which was inaugurated by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this special occasion, ASPIRE-BioNEST showcased a few innovative products developed by incubating start-ups and received applauds from the delegates and dignitaries who visited the stall. Some of the notable visitors includes Dr. Chintan Vaishnav , Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission , NITI Aayog , Dr. Rajesh Gokhale, the Secretary, Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and Manish Dr. Diwan Head – Strategic Partnership & Entrepreneurship Development, BIRAC and others.
As a Biotech incubator, ASPIRE-BioNEST has been adjudged as the Best Emerging Bio incubator in the country by BIRAC, 2021. We supported 50 life sciences start-ups to translate their ideas into technologies, with our vast supporting infrastructure and knowledge pool.

Team BioNEST had a fortune of interacting with him and his visionary inputs are precious and invaluable. He enjoyed interacting with some of our start-ups and knowing about their technologies. ASPIRE 4th Foundation Day Celebrations

ASPIRE Foundation Day celebrated
Chandrasekhar Srivari, Secretary, DST, Government of India inaugurated a new TBI facility.
Dr Krishna M Ella, CMD of Bharat Biotech International Limited delivers the ASPIRE foundation day lecture.
Chintan Vaishnav, Mission Director, Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog delivered a special lecture.
Basuthkar Rao(B J Rao), Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, ASPIRE foundation day opening remarks.
A few products developed by the ASPIRE start-ups were also launched. Grus & Grade Private Limited an Agri Tech company with a focus to bring in complete traceability in Agri value chain, 30M Genomics is started with the vision of making genetic diagnostics more affordable and accessible, @UR Advanced Therapeutics a pioneer in the development of highly sensitive custom-designed Tagged molecular probes for the diagnosis of cancer, infectious and non-infectious diseases. Transcell Oncologics Private Limited developed NeuroSAFE by combining Human-Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Technology with Robotic Process Automation digital platform impregnated with AI and ML tools.
The program was attended by several dignitaries from the nearby institutes, CEOs and staff coordinators and staff of the ASPIRE incubation centers, faculty and staff of the University of Hyderabad, and nearby scientific organizations.
